Tony Del Greco

If you don’t know Tony, then you’re missing out on one of the coolest and hardest workers here at Redux! Tony found us through his daughter Bella. He wasn’t quite sold on the CrossFit thing at first. But once he saw what it was about and after trying his first class, he’s been hooked ever since.
 
No matter who you are or what level you’re at, he is always there to help you through a wod by finishing reps with you or running next to you on that last 400m.
 
Congratulations Tony – you embody what the Redux member is all about. Thank you for having made CrossFit Redux your home.

Tony’s Interview

I had a few friends who were already involved with CrossFit and encouraged me to try it out. I wanted to try something different than the traditional gym. At first, I was hesitant because I didn’t know enough about it and I’m the type that researches a lot before doing something. I read both positive and negative reviews but eventually decided to just try it on my own and now I’m hooked!
I started off wearing Reebok when I got into CrossFit, but now definitely Nike. And more specifically Metcon 2s!
First eat the 100 donuts in an hour and then after a very long time has passed, the 100 burpees! But the donuts have to be hot and accompanied with a large glass of milk!
My very first CrossFit WOD was at CrossFit Adventure (now CrossFit Redux) on Shary Circle. About 10 minutes into it, I stopped what I was doing, walked outside and yacked! Ali (the coach at the time) followed me outside and asked if I was ok. I was so embarrassed!
I started CrossFit about 3 years ago. After about a year and a half, I suffered a stroke. After my surgery and with the help or Dave, I was in the gym a week later. I attribute my speedy recovery because of CrossFit. It saved my life and my doctors all agree that due to my fitness level, I was able to recover rapidly. Because of this, it has taught me to take better care of myself and with the help of Nate, I am able to be cognizant of what I eat and how nutrition also has an impact. I have learned a lot and made huge strides and accomplished many goals because of CrossFit.
